In Pakistan, more than 190 passengers were freed from over 450 who were on a train attacked in the province of Balochistan. This happened after negotiations between the authorities and armed men who took hostages.

The official representative of the Balochistan government, Adnan Mahmood, told reporters: "Those responsible for the attack demanded the release of hostages, to which we agreed."

However, he added that not all hostages had been released and that negotiations are still ongoing for a final resolution of this incident.
