At least nine people died in a protest in front of the US consulate in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, where young people tried to force their way in, international media reported. Thousands of people also demonstrated in the streets of Lahore, the country's second-largest city. Pakistan's prime minister spoke, and in Baghdad they demand the withdrawal of Americans. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the murder of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei was a "violation of international law." In Baghdad, a young man dressed in black with his face covered, who introduced himself as Ali, told AFP that the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in an attack by the United States and Israel "hurt" his people's feelings.
