Islamabad - Reuters. The White House and the office of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance held talks with Sharif on Saturday. The talks also included Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former President Donald Trump. Sharif's office said, "The prime minister expressed hope that these talks would mark a starting point towards a lasting peace in the region." Vance is visiting Islamabad for talks aimed at ending the dispute with Iran.
