Islamabad, April 10 (NA) – As talks between Iran and the United States, mediated by Pakistan, loom in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the nation in a televised speech this Friday, stating: “This is a decisive moment.” “I ask all of you to pray that these talks are successful, that countless lives are saved, and that the world comes to know peace,” asserted Sharif, as reported by CNN and learned by the Argentine News Agency. Sharif praised Pakistan's Army Chief of Staff General Asim Munir—a close ally of US President Donald Trump—and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for having “extinguished the flames of war.” The Prime Minister added that tomorrow, “God willing,” representatives from both US and Iranian leadership will be present in Pakistan for the negotiations. “The Pakistani leadership will ensure that these talks are successful, dedicating their best efforts to it,” stated Sharif. “Everything is in God's hands.”
