Pakistan's Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, stated today that the latest round of dialogue between his country and Afghanistan, held in the Turkish city of Istanbul, 'achieved no viable solution.' In a statement shared on social media X, Tarar affirmed that Pakistan had engaged in repeated dialogues with Afghan Taliban authorities regarding the issue of cross-border terrorism involving groups such as the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and the Balochistan Liberation Army. He stated that Pakistan had presented 'sufficient and irrefutable evidence' of terrorist activities launched from Afghan territory, which were acknowledged by the Afghan side and the host countries, Qatar and Turkey. 'The Afghan side continued to evade the central issue, sidestepping the key point from which the dialogue process began. Instead of accepting any responsibility, the Afghan Taliban resorted to the blame game and evasion,' the minister indicated. The Afghan Taliban have not yet responded to Pakistan's statement, a report from the Xinhua news agency indicates.
