Pakistan Repatriates Over 84,000 Afghans

The Pakistani Interior Minister announced the repatriation of over 84,000 Afghans since the deportation campaign began on April 1. This marks the second phase of the operation, with 84,871 individuals returned to Afghanistan as of today.


Pakistan Repatriates Over 84,000 Afghans

The Pakistani Interior Minister, Talal Chaudhry, announced that more than 84,000 Afghans have been repatriated from Pakistan to Afghanistan during the current deportation campaign that began on April 1.

In the second phase of the operation, to date, 84,871 Afghan individuals have been returned to their country of origin. This deportation process is being carried out as part of measures to regularize the situation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

Chaudhry pointed out that this action is being performed in an orderly manner and in cooperation with Afghan authorities to ensure a safe and dignified return of Afghan citizens who resided in Pakistani territory.

"We are committed to continuing this campaign until the repatriation of all Afghans who are illegally in Pakistan is completed," stated the Interior Minister.
