Separatist gunmen opened fire on a train carrying hundreds of passengers in southwest Pakistan, injuring the train driver. Authorities are investigating the incident, raising security concerns in the region.

On Tuesday in the southwest part of Pakistan, armed separatists opened fire on a passenger train, transporting hundreds of passengers, police and railroad officials reported. The incident resulted in the injury of the train driver.

The police representative said: "The train was subjected to a complete attack in the Balohistan area, the driver was injured and taken to the hospital. We have begun an investigation into the incident."

As it became known, as a result of the attack, none of the passengers were harmed. Rescuers and police operatives arrived at the scene to ensure safety and assist the passengers.

"We are working on apprehending the criminals who carried out this attack on the civilian population," stated the representative of the human rights organizations.
