In the Bag Almara area of Khayber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwestern Pakistan, 4 militants were killed during a special operation. Police and military conducted the operation based on intelligence received. Local authorities confirmed that all four were members of proscribed terrorist groups.
One of the official representatives stated: "These militants were responsible for a series of attacks on security forces, as well as for the murder of civilians in the region." It was also noted that among the destroyed militants were leaders of extremist organizations who were planning new attacks on law enforcement agencies and the civilian population. Police and army continue operations to eliminate militants in the region under the framework of the anti-terrorism campaign.
