The Pakistani forces conducted an operation to free hostages and regain control of the train 'Jaffar Express', which was attacked by a separatist group in the Balochistan region of southwestern Pakistan. The separatist group 'Balochistan Liberation Army' carried out a sabotage of the railway track, which led to the train stopping and the detention of more than 450 passengers.

In this context, the Pakistani forces were able to rescue approximately 155 passengers so far, according to security sources. Local authorities confirmed the death of 27 militants to date. Initially, it was reported that three people were killed in the attack, which was carried out by armed men belonging to the separatist group.
