In the Pakistani locality of Kanak, in Mastung, seven people, including five children, lost their lives in an attack near a secondary school. The target of the attack was a police vehicle that was near the educational center.

Superintendent Nisar Ahmad Baloch reported that, in addition to the five minors, including boys and girls aged ten to thirteen, a police officer and a passerby also died. Nearly 30 people, most of them students, were treated at the headquarters and at a hospital in Mastung. Authorities activated the emergency services at both medical centers to assist the victims, although it is still unknown who is responsible for the attack.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfaraz Bugti, condemned the act and lamented that terrorists had attacked innocent children and workers. He promised to avenge the victims and expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and the injured.
